Ok ok.. waas a lil more to it then that. Being in and about the pet industry many years.. I wanted to do this right from the get go. so this is what the set p entails of:
1 - 36gal tank/stand/hood 40lb - black gravel 2 - Sunglo, florescent bulbs to replace the ones it comes with 1 - Fluval 203 filled with bio beads, activated carbon and a bag of peat pellets 1 - air pump with dual ports 2 - 6" air stones and black tubing to better hide it 2 - check valves.. no draining the tank through the air hose! 1 - Submersible heater 1 - outside peel and stick therometer Plants - artifical background, middle and foreground 1 - centerpiece branch 1 - Smaller branch 1 - stump 1 - worm feeder 1 - 3" fine net Stress Coat Ph test kit Ammonia test kit Gravel Cleaner Magnetic glass cleaner Let the water run a day , made sure was 7.0, soft and then added some cycling fish: 5 zebra danio and 5 albino buenos aires I try to do a 3% water change every other week and clean filter once a month Not that it always happens that way.. hey I did say "try"! |
